Before founding Choose Nutrition, Meg worked in a variety roles within Nepean Blue Mountains Area Health District, overseeing a multi-site team of dietitians and dietitan assistants. She is passionate about client-centred practice and collaborative care. Meg has a special interest in challenging food behaviour in children and body image, weight concern and disordered eating in adolescents and adults.
Tracy has extensive experience in adult and paediatric dietetics within the public health system and private practice. She is committed to providing excellent, evidence-based, individualised care. Tracy loves working with individuals and families of all ages, empowering them to pursue healthy behaviours in a sustainable way.
Angela is dedicated to nutrition counselling that works in real life and has completed additional training in Motivational Interviewing, The Non-diet approach and client-centred care. She loves helping kids and adults manage their diet-related conditions and develop and maintain a healthy relationship with food and with their bodies in a culture that often makes that really difficult.
Leila loves spending time with clients in a one-on- one setting, uncovering the root cause
of dietary related health concerns. Her areas of interest include digestive issues, including Irritable
Bowel Syndrome and Food Intolerance, Food Allergies, Weight Concerns, Body Image,
Chronic Dieting, Weight Cycling, Disordered Eating and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
Diets almost always fail yet the diet industry blames the individual. This leads to guilt, shame and a reduction in self-care behaviours. We won’t just give your patients another diet or ask them to “try harder”. We advocate for a complete paradigm shift where patients are enabled to pursue health-promoting behaviours for the long term, acting from a place of self-acceptance, self-care and self-compassion.
We sit side by side with our clients, on their team. We help them find their motivation, work through their priorities and barriers, and provide compassionate, individualised, client-centred care. “One size fits all” nutrition counselling is ineffective in eliciting sustainable change. We work hard to empower our clients to set and achieve their health goals.
All our dietitans collaborate through formal supervision, ongoing professional development and membership of relevant professional networks. Patients get the benefits of continuity of care by seeing a single therapist in a private setting, but without missing out on the benefit of seeing a dietitian who is well supervised, connected and part of a team.
We understand that you need clear communication about treatment and progress. You can expect detailed but concise assessment and summary reports, phone contact where necessary, and ongoing communication as indicated. If we require any referrals made or pathology checked, we will provde clear rationale for our requests.
